How do we get started?

The first meeting with Dr. Thompson's Root Cause Specialist will let you get to know us and we will get to know you then you decide on the next steps!

How long should I expect the initial conversation to last?

Expect the consultation to last for 60 minutes by phone or HIPAA compliant Zoom. We will discuss your concerns and decide the best way to work together.

We do not accept insurance or Medicare for our coaching services.  If you would like to learn more  about why we do not accept insurance and our other financial policies you may click here. .

What should I expect at the initial consultation?

Does your office take insurance for Functional Coaching Services?

At your initial consultation we will exploreyour health biography and build a timeline from before you were born until today!   We will unmask root causes, determine first steps, and develop the plan for your wellness.

Should I bring anything with me to the consultation?

We ask that you bring (or preferably upload) any pertinent medical records, supplements, medication list and lab test results, along with all of your questions, goals and dreams.

Does your practice offer single lab tests or a-la-carte testing?

We do not offer a-la-carte testing since this goes against the paradigm of functional health. If we are going to address the root cause of your health issues, we will need to take a more comprehensive approach. We only work with clients on a case management basis in one of our programs.

Is my lab testing covered by health insurance?

Functional lab testing is usually partially covered by insurance, but you will need to pay for it up front. The Laboratories can give you additional information on testing and working with your insurance before testing. You can also use your HSA or FSA funds for all of these tests.

We accept Cash, Check, Venmo, Zelle, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover or Healthcare Savings or Flex Spending Funds and some financing options.

What forms of payment do you accept?

Can I use my HSA or FSA account?

Yes.  Please check with your HR department if you have any questions.

Our office hours are Monday to Friday 8 AM – 7 PM EST.  We work on an appointment-only basis, but create space for all of our clients to meet their needs. Just let us know what you need and we will work out the hours.   Most of our patients take advantage of our Teleheath option to work with us!

What are your office hours?

Can we work through Telehealth?

Will I see other practitioners?

Dr. Thompson works with a team of experts to help you accomplish your health goals.   These may include health coach, nutritionist, lifestyle/success coach and meditation coaches.

Do I still need a primary care physician?

Yes. We do not provide acute care services and we do not replace the services that your current medical team provides. We are happy to collaborate with your PMD or specialist.  We provide a stand-alone consultative service.

Yes. We see clients primarily through Telehealth, using HIPAA Compliant Zoom for your convenience. You don't have to take a day off work, drive or even leave your home.
